JP & Associates’s workshops are tailored to ensure positive results for your organization. Below is a short listing with brief descriptions. Contact us and we will be happy to discuss other workshop opportunities.

Performance Management
This seminar is designed to convey practical and usable skills for individuals who are assigned as supervisors or managers. It is also appropriate for anyone who wants to improve his or her management/leadership skills. Participants are introduced to a systematic approach to managing people. Organizational and individual behavior are studied within the context of increasing performance and quality and the concept of using data to measure and evaluate performance effectiveness is practiced.

MBTI®
The purpose of the MBTI® is to make the theory of psychological types described by C.G. Jung (behaviorist) understandable and useful in people’s lives. While all individuals are unique, behavior tends to follow a set on patterns based on the way an individual prefers to use their perception and judgment.

The MBTI® is not a test of intelligence, performance, or ability of any sort. It is rather an assessment of the way we prefer to react or behave in different situations. This assessment measures how we like to interact with others and our surroundings, how we take in information, make decisions, and how we approach our daily tasks. By having a better understanding of ours own personality preferences, we are more able to recognize areas of self-improvement and accept the differences in others.

Interpersonal Communication
Discussion will be centered on how important communication is to the workplace productivity. Social, personal and neurological filters will be explored to determine their effects. The Communication Preference Questionnaire™ and Communication Wheel™ will be used to demonstrate the relationship between communication skills and interpersonal relationships.

Conflict Management
Participants complete the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument and use the results as a catalyst to discuss methods for recognizing and resolving conflict based on their preferred conflict style: avoiding, accommodating, competing, compromising and collaborating.
The discussion centers on enabling everyone to work through conflict on their own, without intervention from others.

Teamwork
Participants complete the FIRO Element B™ Instrument and use the results as a catalyst to discuss teamwork/cooperation three dimensionally: Inclusive, Control and Openness. An overview of team development is discussed and experiential activities are used to enhance learning transfer of the concepts.

Quality Improvement Team Training
This seminar is designed to convey practical and usable skills for individuals who are assigned as quality improvement team members. It is also appropriate for anyone who wants to improve his or her group process skills.

Stress Management
Stress is the reaction our bodies experience adjusting to our continually changing environment – the death of a loved one, the birth of a child, a job change or promotion, or a new relationship. It has physical and emotional effects on us and can create positive or negative feelings. As a positive influence, stress can help compel us to action: it can result in a new awareness and an exciting new perspective. As a negative influence, it can result in feelings of distrust, rejection, anger and depression. These feelings can lead to health problems such as headaches, upset stomach, rashes, insomnia, ulcers, high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. When adjusting to different circumstances, stress will help or hinder us depending on how we react to it.

JP & Associates partners with Paula Kommor, owner of Dynamic Wellness, to conduct a very effective workshop that will lead you to a healthier, more balanced life.

Business Writing
JP & Associates partners with Dr. Steve Schultz (Writing at Work) to design a workshop to increase participant writing skills and confidence. The workshop focuses on the qualities central to all business communications – writing clear, direct, tactful and persuasive messages.

Time Management
The time management workshop leads participants through some fundamental practices to increase productivity and effectiveness. Participants learn to apply these techniques to their daily routines, specific work scenarios and short and long term planning.
